THIRD AND FINAL POEM!!! YYYYAAAASSSS!!!!

Guess what guys? We made it! It is the last blog of mine based on a school assignment. However i have to say, this has been a great experience not only going in depth about racism, but having the opportunity to share it with you guys. It has been an honour! :). So lets get to it..

The last poem I am going to analyse is called 'why do you judge me' by Arely Corral. I chose to analyse this poem because even though it was a serious topic, the poet chose to use a bit of humour. But the humour did not overtake the reason why Arely Corral was writing this poem in the first place which was to help eliminate racism.-'Why is it that you think I'm stupid because of where I'm from. In my own opinion, You have classified yourself as dumb.' It still showed emotion but at the same time, as seen in the comments people crdited that, saying it was original it was honest but it still had humour.

I have decided to go in depth about the use of alliteration. I chose alliteration because Arely Corral used it in a way of racism victims fighting back. This poem was more aggressive than the last two, it sounded as if the people had enough. They were so fed up, they didn't care. I don't blame them, imagine having to walk around in shame of your skin colour? People giving you snares and weird looks, people looking at you whispering to their neighbour, they start laughing and you are so hurt you don't know what to do? This is what people who go through racism have to face every single day. The letters Arely Corral repeated was the letter 'W'- 'We will one day rise above low standards that's what we're fighting for.' These lines spoke a message that those people who suffer will rise against the racist, and they will do it together. And once they do, there is no going back.

Coming into this assignment, i was not excited about reading and analysing three poems. But this assignment has taught me so much, reading these poems have shown me that there is alot happening around the world that people are so clueless about. Problems like racism. Just like me, i had no clue whatsoever how bad racism still is in the world until i read these poems. Thanks so much for supporting me on this topic it has been a wild journey but it was worth it. Shout out to my english teacher Mrs.Scholes! Thanks miss for a great year.. you taught me well.. So here is the last poem about racism- 'Why do you judge me' by Arely Corral. Enjoy, GOD BLESS.

Why do you tend to judge me cause I'm of different race. Why do you tend to hate me cause I'm from a different place. Why is it that you think I'm stupid because of where I'm from. In my own opinion, You have classified yourself as dumb. You act as if I'm a criminial evil and a crook. And all this because your job from you I took.. All this hatred that you show is nothing more than envy. Why can't you just see that you are not better nor worse than me. I was born in this country, I grew up just around the corner. The difference between you and I, is that my father crossed that border. He has struggled in the past to make our lives all better. I admire him for that why do u have to be a hater. And even though I respect you, You show me nothing more than racism. When will this all stop When will you stop your criticism? We are no longer that minority.. Nor will we be for ever more. We will one day rise above low standards that's what we're fighting for. So I suggest you learn to love my kind and just be all that you can be. Cause all your racism and your criticism can no longer bother me....
